The JOLO (Joe, Lou) Duo was formed in 2017 when composer Mack LaMont was commissioned by Louis to write a solo for trombone and harp. The goal of this duo is to promote original solos for trombone and harp, and to continue expanding the repertoire with exciting new works for this genre through recordings and performance. They will be releasing a CD in 2019 that will feature previously unrecorded works for trombone and harp. The JOLO Duo will be performing at both the American Trombone Workshop and International Trombone Festival in 2019, with additional recitals and performances planned as well.
